For quick stops—whether it’s quickly hitting up a retail store, grabbing a quick bite to eat or drink, or picking up or dropping off —on-street metered parking is available in Bethlehem. For longer stays, please Park Once in one of our convenient parking garages. To find our convenient parking options, click here, https://www.bethpark.org/parking/decks-lots/

In both of Bethlehem’s downtowns, metered parking is available on nearly every block. When you get to a block, you will find multiple versions of signage indicating the rate and the max time allowed. Look for the parking meters, Pay Stations (with large vibrant signage) or ParkMobile signs to pay for your stay.

ParkBethlehem

ParkBethlehem, a strategic parking management initiative launching September 3, 2024, offers two distinct metered parking zones with tailored pricing to meet varying parking needs, ParkBethlehem aims to encourage rapid turnover in high-demand areas while also promoting the use of lower-demand metered spaces and convenient city parking garages.

Rate Zones

  • RapidPark Zone: Located in core downtown areas, this zone represents about 30% of the meter system and is perfect for shorter visits. It will feature a $2.50 per hour rate with a maximum stay of two hours. This higher rate and shorter limit are designed to encourage turnover and ensure that more visitors can access convenient parking spaces.
  • FlexPark Zone: Situated slightly further from the downtowns, this walkable zone maintains the existing $1.50 per hour rate with a three-hour maximum stay. This approach helps reduce congestion in high-demand areas and supports a more pedestrian-friendly environment.

All parking equipment will be marked with colors and signage that indicate the metered zones rate.

  • Have expiration reminders sent to you.
  • Stop your parking session short if you ended up paying more time than you needed! You’ll get your unused money back!
  • Multi-language access.
  • Apple Pay.
  • Add multiple License Plates (Please be mindful of using the correct one).

Pay Stations

Starting in 2023, the Bethlehem Parking Authority began to replace its aging single-space parking meters with multi-space pay stations.
The pay stations feature,

  • 10” full-color touchscreens.
  • Additional convenient and secure payment methods, such as,
    o Apple Pay
    o Google Pay
    o Tap to Pay
  • “Text to Extend,” which allows customers to extend their parking session through their mobile phones.
